It was during a nice heat wave that I had a photo session scheduled with Galina and Anton to get some images of them and their daughter Sasha. Due to the heat they opted to change the initial spot we talked about doing the images from a prairie like setting, to their home and yard where everyone could stay a bit cooler. We started off in their home with just some general “playing” shots. Those are always great, especially with younger kids because it lets you get right down and work with them as they’re occupied with their toys. Then once Sasha was perfectly alright with posing big for the camera, we headed outdoors for a nice family walk!

I was actually out of town on a shoot when I received a text from Rachel (aka ‘Mom’) that Layla Sky had just been born and she wanted to set up a time to do photos! Always fun to work with super young infants because you can have them awake for a few shots and then just feed them a bit and get them right to sleep to get some more peaceful sleeping photos. While we weren’t able to do the photos within the first week, Layla was all set for her first photo shoot by her 14th day. The shoot went pretty well and there was little crying except for a couple tears from the parents, Igor and Rachel…
