Old Orchard Country Club – A Step Away From Chicago

Samantha and Bobby are your classic Chicago couple. They fit the city as well as it does them. What do I mean by that? Here’s a glimpse of their Lincoln Park engagement session to give you an idea. And while their engagement was all Chicago, for the wedding they opted for something a bit more remote, but close to the city. That’s where the Old Orchard Country club in Mount Prospect comes into the picture.

The club actually has a special meaning for me in that this was the location of my first wedding shoot. Years ago when I was first getting into the industry, I began at a ‘big box’ studio. My first wedding had both the ceremony and reception at the Old Orchard Country Club. In this case, the couple had their wedding at St. Elizabeth of The Trinity and portraits in the Financial District.

Stunning Wedding Portraits at The Flamingo

While our time was a bit limited, Samantha and Bobby absolutely rocked their shoot. Our original aim was to make our way to the Adler Planetarium for some skyline shots, but due to timing, we changed course. After the photo session, it was off to OOCC for a few more portraits and reception. The club is a golf course open to the public, but they do a wonderful job of accommodating weddings by providing a cart for photos. If you have your ceremony at the venue then it’s just outside of the clubhouse overlooking the stunning greens.
